Its late by one business day. I’d relax. If they don’t get back to you by Friday shoot them a note. I once had a firm (not Bain) give me a verbal offer but it took them 2 weeks to get back to me with an official document.
Communication is all it takes. They can be waiting on signatures, etc, just let the people know! I think it’s very disrespectful, coming from either side.
Pull a George from Seinfeld and just show up to the office ready to work!
Why does it happen to folks from Deloitte? 😀
Listen, you guys need to stop waiting around. These people are bombarded with applicants. Get in their face. Rule of life I live by Squeaky wheel gets the oil. Meaning speak up if they aren't getting back to you.
Yes, we’re VERY slow. Hang in there.
I’ve been through this as an external hire, and internal transfer (took six months for the interview process and offer, again as an INTERNAL candidate), and it drags.
It’s a busy time and people don’t always respond on time.
Hi I had a quick question for you - I did my final round of interviews with PwC on Friday (3 interviews for a SA role), the interviews went really well I received great feedback, 2 interviewers saying I would be a perfect fit. Then this morning (Monday at 2am) I received an email from workday that my application is not proceeding further. It is also 60 days from the day I applied to the job, is it possible this is an automated email from workday? It just seemed so quick for the team to discuss and decide between 4pm Friday and 2am Monday?
I had a similar issue where the recruiter did not talk to me for 6 weeks but they did present an offer
So it worked out, despite the internal stigma of being a AC resource even with a masters degree. the point is that recruiting should have been more transparent and communicated versus leaving you essentially on read

Had a similar experience at PWC. Had interviews several months ago and never heard back. Just assumed they ghosted me.
Then I randomly got a request for a “final round interview” very recently.
Still haven’t heard back after the most recent interview.
To be honest it doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about how PWC runs things

Similar experience with Deloitte recruiting. Interviewed in June and they got back last week wanting final interviews
I honestly think the next industry to get a huge change is recruitment. Recruiters basically are the worst way to find talent and I rather work for a smaller company now rather than be in a huge cog.

Ghosted is better than a rejection. Ghosting means they like you and are looking/waiting for proper placement
Lol had the same thing happen to me from Mandiant and Palo Alto during final rounds as well. F them!
It don’t think it’s because they are BUSY, it’s more of a symptom of looking for the best candidate and buying time to go through other candidates
No, they’re busy.
I think consulting is an industry people are running from now. Who wants this treatment just getting in the door which gets worse after you arrive.
