Got a rejection today after what I had thought was a really productive interview loop I was well prepped for. The recruiter shared that the team thought I was a strong fit for Amazon but not for the team. Also said he’d continue to work with me and to reach out if I had interest in any roles that come up. Any idea what that feedback might really mean, and if there’s really much likelihood I’ll hear back from them re another role?

Amazons excessive interviews are an awful candidate experience. Why do they think this will help them win top talent in this competitive environment? Especially with their public cultural issues…? Lots of great paying companies without having to take a day off from work to interview! It’s overkill

Have an offer from AWS for an L7 Principal PMT role: $215k base + $275k sign on bonus for Year 1 and $215k for year 2 + 5100 RSUs (@ $130 / share). This is the initial offer; where is there room for negotiation? Base or Sign on Bonus or RSUs? I realize it's a good offer, but I'm looking for: $225k base + existing sign on + 5500 RSUs. Does that sound like a decent counter?
