Not many opportunities to double your salary come along + VC will be more interesting for bschool apps if you decide you want to get back into consulting
OP consulting will always be there, VC roles are rare. Make the jump.
I live in NYC so the expenses won't be much higher. Offer is twice what I make today. Biggest concern is that I enjoy consulting and still feel like I'm figuring out what I like and don't like. But if I don't leave earlier as an analyst, I may be too senior to go into new industries
Not enough context
Yup I would but I'm not you
If you are interested in VC possibly. Just don’t forget how expensive it is to live in California and specifically SF.
What's VC
Be prepared to spend 80% of your income on rent. 😁
Thanks for the responses, makes sense. Only hesitance now is dropping everything I've started in NYC 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks everyone!
Go to VC and boomerang if it doesn't work out.
OP do it! Please!!!!!!
Sounds like a great opportunity, congrats and good luck! And the west coast is the best coast so you're moving up there too! 😉
