I think by sticking it out, making changes, and not wanting to let down your team was professional. However, I rarely see people succeed after a PIP. Even if you make it through, there always tend to be someone in management “out to get you” and any upward mobility options are greatly limited. I would take the new job, give appropriate notice, and provide the feedback you gave here (better job offer and I stuck it out for the team).
A PIP isn't to get you to improve, it's to start the fire-with-cause process. By the point a PIP is given out, your reputation has likely taken too big a hit internally to be able to come back from. People have made up their minds about you.
So finding a new job already is wonderful. Congrats! Give your two weeks, thank them for the opportunity, and ride out the remainder of your time.
A PIP is code for "go find another job before we fire you." Take the offer and don't look back.
Also would like to add I did put the PIP feedback to heart and would have likely passed it. I’m just upset that my manager didn’t have the balls to discuss my underperformance and provided honest and open feedback.
That being said I should have left this company 10 months ago but stayed because I didn’t want to screw over the team which led to me burning out. Also felt that there was too much of a carrot on a stick and I was waiting for a promotion that wouldn’t have happened.
Which led to resentment.
Do you know Bill?

You just politely hand in your 2 week notice and wish them well but you are excited for the new opportunity. Taking the high road there is more than they deserve but that’s what I’d do.
Seems like a no brainer... you're on a PIP at your current job, which basically means youre done there, and you have an offer in hand = take it and run. Not sure what you're getting hung up about.
Always give 2 weeks. Even if you are about to get fired or laid off, you never want to burn a bridge. You never know who you’ll end up working with again. Leave on a good note.
These comments are all spot-on. PIPs aren’t intended to help you, just cover the firm by giving them cause to terminate employment
No brainer. Leave and don’t look back.

Can you request severance instead of funding the PIP? This way you get a nice payout right before leaving.
Uhhh no just don’t
Give your two weeks maybe take some time off in between jobs if you can
Move on
LEAVE ASAP
Give your 2 weeks notice and leave. Tell your new employer that you need to give 2 weeks notice and set the start date to after that.
Is strongly advise you to not pursue the PIP. Very rarely do people make it through PIPs. You may have been sold all the crap about “we are putting you on PIP because we think you can succeed here and we want to invest in you”. Do not believe it. It is the beginning of your last days at the firm. It’s a way to cover their backside if they decide to fire you tomorrow. Take the new job and run!
Definitely there are alot of bitch-azz managers out there but preserve your professional image. Give your 2 week notice and wrap up strong. Make them regret putting u on PIP. I get the company is crap but doesn't mean you're that way. Congrats and good luck.
Yeah take the new offer

2 weeks should suffice. Congrats! 🥳🥂

Take the new job offer and submit the 2 weeks notice. Being on a PIP means you’re done. Every reply is spot on. Don’t lose out this guaranteed new job opportunity.
I would definitely leave your current employer and go take the job offer. PIP is considered a death sentence and means the company is lukewarm on you. Might as well and leave and not burn any more bridges. Get a new start with higher money and build yourself up.
Congratulations on your new job! 😊 Just give a two weeks notice, or whatever the company states.
Lots of people succeed themselves out of PIPs and many end up being high performers. Put in your 2 weeks with grace and move on with excitement. This world is small and you never know when you are going to run into former colleagues (managers, etc) again.
Just do the absolute bare minimum until you work at your new job.
