Attended a top 5 UG and have 1 YOE. Doing mostly public sector work right now. Hours are fine, but pay is not at all competitive and the work is slow and not interesting. Hi, where or what types of companies should sophomores & juniors apply for next summer (2022) to recruit for IB the following summer (2023)? This summer BBs wrapped up SA IB recruitment, EBs even earlier, and a fair amount of my friends missed out big time.

Also, if a sophomore or junior doesn’t get a finance-related summer internship (I.e tech) and aims for an IB SA or FT position, is it harder to break in?

I know this question is asked a lot, but what are some good non-legal fields or jd preferred jobs for lawyers who no longer want to practice? If you left the field of law, how did you know it wasn’t the right career for you?

Has anyone made the transition from non-profit and small firm practice to federal government, big law, in-house? I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. However, I’m just exhausted, unmotivated, and and looking for a change. At this point (6.5 yrs of practice), is that type of transition even possible or am I stuck due to the practice area?
