Has anyone ever made the jump from consulting to being a full time creative?

Recently I've realized that consulting isn't what I wanna do, but more broadly idk if a 9-5 business job is for me either. I've always wanted to make films and write books but I rarely see anyone in our industry make this kind of jump. Also finances 🥴

Overall I'm just not sure if I can see myself doing this for the next 30 years

Need help from the Hivemind. I am a rising 4th year who has only been at my firm for a little over a year (after a few clerkships). I like my firm well enough, and the partners I work with like me a lot, but I’ve learned that Biglaw is not the life for me and want to get out ASAP. I’m applying to a Fed agency that I’m really excited about, but the application requires a reference from your current supervisor. I haven’t told the firm I’m thinking about leaving. How would you handle this?

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
