Has anyone gone to therapy to deal with stress from work? I've started to develop pretty bad anxiety / a constant sense of doom, and the whole 'Zoom meditation sessions' through work are laughable attempts from the corporate world to deal with it.

Not therapy. I’m trying this: I have been distancing myself (yup even though WFH) and reducing meetings and calls with certain people or eliminating some one on one sessions with certain people. I’m slowly feeling more positive, less stressed. Good luck!

Yup. Been talking with a counselor. But tbh, nothing really helped until i took time off from work. But i was glad that i had started the sessions before taking 4 weeks off and i Kelly then up.

Yes, I joined BetterHelp for work stress. Needed someone to talk to who wasn’t a family or friend and could give me objective feedback. It helped but I wasn’t on it long before my company had a massive layoff, myself included. But I recommend!

🙋🏻‍♂️at first it was for something else but then it turned into me working with my therapist on how to deal with work related stress, navigating tough situations and dealing with difficult people at work.

I’ve been in therapy for years and it’s been the single most helpful thing I’ve done for myself, in many areas but especially work-related stress (helped me get away from a few terrible individuals)

🙋🏾‍♀️ I started therapy recently. It felt so good to talk to someone and get an objective opinion. Take a break first and work with a therapist.

I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? Just how bad would it be to quit without a two week notice? I’ve been bait & switched into a horrible role, overworked to the point of having medical problems, and no amount of diplomatic talks with my manager has improved the day to day. If our mental health is not good at the moment, how do we convey it to the team? Most of the folks in my team take such things lightly and I feel weird to let them know about it. So I just have to lie and put a sick leave.

I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Are you paying for bridesmaid hair and make-up? Was a little sticker shocked $200 per person before gratuity, just adds up quickly with that many people😬 Not requiring it but wanted to offer it if they want to be more glammed up, but now seeing online that’s it’s considered quite rude to not cover it for them? - fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Experience sharing on calories deficit -
I have a normal body build but want to lose a few pounds(especially around my belly). I am making visible progress now by eating less(work gets busy and I use that to forget about hunger), a lot of walking, have casein protein to feel less hungry. Diet is really what do the trick.
But there are drawbacks too - my energy level(especially around night time) drop significantly that the level of exercise I used to do feels hard (light/mid intensity)

Mental Health, inherited or choice? I am finding myself struggling with processing that ADD, Depression, or Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain vs. behavioral therapy. The best analogy given to me is you would treat diabetics with insulin so why not consider prescriptions to help mental health. 2020 has thrown more at me than I’m able to handle.
