Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand

Although the policy relates to me, the name of the policyholder is my dad and I would like to change it to me but keep the same beneficiaries. Is it possible to transfer from him to me? (This policy relates to my death btw)

I like the Apple Card and considering opening one but want to see if there are better alternatives. It’s enticing that if I lose my card, I can instantly change the number so someone can’t use it. Plus no numbers means someone can’t randomly make a large fraudulent purchase.

My thinking is that we (i) put $200k+ down and get a 5/1 ARM. (ii) put everything we save moving forward toward paying down the principal (after maximizing retirement accounts). Should be able to do $100k per year. (iii) If rates go down below 4.5ish % for 15 year fixed, refinance and stop aggressive payment. Thoughts on this approach?
