Has anyone negotiated a raise after you number of direct report la increased? I just inherited a few resources after a colleague left. My workload increase incrementally but nothing huge. The people management time spikes up though.

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon.
