Friends of friends on staff?

This happened to me on every account I ever worked on at Ogilvy. Sadly, the strategy department (while it has a ton of super smart people too) carries the bulk of these dumb dumbs. That = dangerous influence on overall output.

Some really benefit from mentorship and training. Most agencies are absolutely terrible at developing raw talent though.

There’s someone on my team that everything they do I would’ve done the complete opposite. I’m doing my best to be patient with this person but man sometimes I feel like we just need to promote the idiots to a title job so they can be locked in an office by themselves so others can do the real work without having to babysit the deadweight.
