For those of you on medication, how do you manage delayed flights causing you to miss appointments? Often, cancellation policies are strict, expensive, and require several days notice.

How do you get good at thinking on your feet? I find I always need time to think and analyse before being able to answer client queries (even those that are considered simple by others). I don't want to rush and get it wrong. I avoid phone calls for this reason which isn't great when you're in the service industry so it's starting to impact my career.

Need help w fam situ: Parents are divorced but share an apt in my city. Dad pays for apt &visits; mom lives there full-time & pays utilities. Mom works PT& has variable income but makes ~$40k; she has no health ins & ZERO saved for retirement. She has a condo she rents out & clears $200/mo, but she fails asset test for county insurance assistance program due to condo. Any ideas about what we could do w the condo? Starting off my career as a tech adjacent generalist (strategy, project management, etc). I doubt I'll ever be a software developer or something, but I want my long term career path to remain very closely tied to tech. Anyone have tips on what I should be doing now in light of that? What is the best path for discovering senior roles in consulting firms? I notice that most don't actively recruit for the Managing Director/high level positions. Is that because there is no job or because you need to come with something special? How do you get the attention of firm recruiters for high level positions to have a discussion about best fit?

Manager Ratings: Generally speaking, in consulting, for a long term project, if there’s a team of 6 people (1 person managing everyone, and below that person 5 different people who are associates or senior associates) is there pressure on the manager to give at least 1 of the 5 associates/senior associates a bad review? Assuming everyone performed anywhere from good to great, would a lot of managers feel it would make them look bad to let all 5 have a good review?
