Saturday marked 14 years since I was fired and started my own agency. Getting fired did not break me then and this pandemic is not going to break me now. Stick with it, everyone.

Has anyone been laid off while on maternity or medical leave, in this market? Curious about how much severance was given/negotiated. Thanks in advance!

I went from trying to be a rock star associate to just doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What does it take to get fired in big law? Besides extreme outlier situations like sexual harassment/mistreatment of staff/insubordination, etc.

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. I was wanting to hit the job market towards the end of this year, but now I worry that if I do move companies, the recession could put me in position of last one hired first one fired. Is it better to stay put?

Hi All! I need some help. I got recently laid off and I am going to start interviewing for roles soon. Should I tell recruiter that I’m not in the company anymore? If so, what should I say? (I got fired due to my performance, but my manager set me up for failure from the beginning, aka toxic leader).
Also, should I update my LinkedIn so that recruiters know I’m open for work?

Newly laid off with little in the way of prospects due to the economy. Does anyone have advice on negotiating a severance package or hiring an employment lawyer to do so? The company I worked for have a very poor package (two months pay for 8 years of service).

Ex big4 told me that the best talent leave, bottom gets fired and the middle performers make partner or stay. He's now CFO at a start up. Not amazing but definitely better off than me

B4 would give me the resume boost, but core TAS would guarantee me a move out of tax altogether. At what age do you stop taking a bath with your child?
