Hello, has anyone worked at or with Sera Systems in Dallas? Historically they paid well and had strong leadership, but recent Glassdoor reviews raise concerns about current leadership toxicity and stability. Reviews mention CEO Matt Barber being largely unavailable, COO Jennifer Hoffman’s leadership approach, and CRO Heather Carr’s unrealistic expectations. This is a big career decision for me, so any firsthand feedback would be appreciated.

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. Tomorrow, I know I will be asked to continue pushing forward with pre planned campaigns that upsell products and services that to groups already in dire straits. After the events of this weekend, I ethically disagree with acting “business as usual”. I’ll raise this with my team, but I anticipate a crossroads with leadership (I am fairly new, younger, junior, woman POC to the org.) If this results and BAU does not change, is it more right to leave my job? Or stay where change is needed?

If I accept the promotion to Partner/Principal what's the least number of years I could work without it being a financial mistake. I have an opportunity to do something completely unrelated that's my passion, but I feel like that's the wrong decision when I'm this close.

I've done so well in this new role within the company that they are hiring another person to assist with what I do. I've voiced to my boss that I'd like to manage this department and they indicated that this is the thought for the future. Now they are asking me to train this person while I have my plate full. Is it wrong for me to expect either a promotion or to be paid to train this person?

Should I leave my company? Been here 1.5 years and was told I was getting a management promotion 5-6 months ago.Still no solid traction and they are opening up a req for it 😑no one on the current sales team has ever been promoted (2 years)except our boss who has been promoted 3 times. At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I was hired to manage the maintenance program, only to get here and physically do the work. 2 years later and being on-call daily but still expected to burn both ends of the candle and it does seem good enough for the corporate leadership. Collapsed this past Thursday at work and rushed off to the hospital only to find out that it was a stress induced panic attack. Come back to work on Monday only to find that my work load was added to. What will it take?
