What are the most boring jobs out there?
BCG final round interview in a week. Any tips on what to expect in a partner level conversation?
- how is it different than the round 1 experience?
- how important is the casing component? I'm doing pretty well, but not perfect. Friends have been eating me 8/10, with the need to improve structure and be more top down in my communication. I'm wondering what I can do to improve that in a week and if that will be a deal breaker on interview day?

Please try and stay as long as you can endure, worst, try to switch departments or go to another big4. Every year spent at big4 increases your financial negotiation, the best time to leave would be at the manager level. I dealt with a lot of jerks and looser but stuck it out for a couple more years and I don’t regret doing it. Recruiters normally look at the number of years you have spent at big4 and gage how much you be paid. I was passed over for promotion but I stayed and learned the work and the process at levels higher than my level and when I was ready to leave, I aced all my interviews and another big4 actually offered about 30k more.
Hey! I left B4 back in February after doing an internship and a little more than 1.5 yrs full time. It was a snap decision since I was reached out to by a recruiter who gave me an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. I was also fed up with my team so it was either quitting or transferring offices. Some people turn networking on in LinkedIn though.
If I’m looking for a job for the end of October, when would you say to start applying or replying to recruiters on LinkedIn?

Reach out to companies via LinkedIn, look at your clients to see who’s hiring. Talk to your friends that work in industry. Depending on your level, that’s probably the easiest leap but be careful of any independence rules.
Are you leaving due to the work, the firm or your team? I’ve also seen people switch teams and thrive because either the people weren’t toxic or the work was better suited. Consider that too.
I’m 1 year into PWC as well. Please do share advice on how to leave to a better position. Is it smart to try another big 4 or just industry?
Yeah B4 love taking employees away from each other. I would be careful though, if you tell PwC that you’re going to a competitor, that day you tell them is usually going to be your last lol even if you have two weeks left, they’ll pay you those two weeks
