Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

What you typically need to get a job is a portfolio of 5-6 ish ad campaigns. If you don’t have that, it’s doing be tough. But I’d recommend reaching out directly to folks you want to work for / with (maybe shoot a little lower and reach out to mid / senior level copywriters you aspire to be like, they don’t get reached out to as much) and ask for their help. Show them what you have, tell them what you like about their work, and ask for their advice / help turning it into a portfolio.
Thanks for the reply! I’ve got 4 campaigns in my portfolio thus far, am collaborating with an AD on a 5th, and am taking a class where I’ll likely finish two more within the next couple months or so. I guess my question is - when a CD or whoever is looking at your book and deciding who to hire, do they solely look at your ad work or do they care about your background / past experience at all? And if it’s the latter, can anything be done to help illustrate why your non-advertising background might be advantageous? Or do you just have to hope that whatever skills you’ve picked up from working in those other fields is evident in your spec work?
