Hello, can you share your salaries as a new grad OTR/L in SNF, home health, and pediatric clinics? I’m in Eastern PA and graduated a year ago. I have less than 6 months experience but been out of the job market for a little bit. Want to make sure I negotiate an appropriate salary and not ask for too much. Thanks.

New here! Looking for advice. Considering a new opportunity. Have been asked to “onboard” prior to interview process. I’ve requested an interview, not only for them but for my peace of mind. I have accepted a new position in the past that did not align with my skill set and left after 101 days. Want to avoid this ever happening again. The new opp is a brand new division of an already successful F&B company. I want to ask HR all the right questions. Any advice? It is salary + commission. Thanks

Is it crazy to give up a counsel role at lower tier biglaw for an associate role at higher tier biglaw? Pay (and hours) would be slightly more as an associate. It’s really more about better practice fit. Asking for a friend. 😅

A few queries:
1. What is the performance/appraisal cycle in GDS?
2. If one joins in Jan 2022, when will he/she be eligible for the first hike?
3. In which month generally is the bonus payout given to the employees?

What is a salary to live comfortably? Like no roommates, nice little living room in a popular/safe neighborhood? I make 110k and most recent apartments are minimum 1700 for 1bd. Sounds a little steep for Philly.

Im a ux/ui and visual designer with 5 years of experience. Last year I told myself this the last year I was working for someone so I didn’t Renew my portfolio hosting. So essentially i lost my work. Fast forward to now i need to get back into the workforce so I’m redoing my portfolio.

My question is what “regular “ or job that doesn’t require a portfolio can i get with the skill of a designer while I rebuild my portfolio and apply for jobs. Working for restaurant is not cutting it.

Please debate: college football is less fun now that the top 3 spots each year in the CFP are Bama, Clemson & Ohio state with the 4th seemingly open to Georgia, ND, Oklahoma? If you agree, what would mix it up?

Just curious on other people's opinions here. Quick background: I've been working 2 years at UHY as an audit associate and 1 as a PWC associate.

I've lost motivation, mainly due to the fact I'm working as the manager and senior on 1 client and the senior on 6 other clients since last June. Obviously, still getting paid as an associate. While working 80-90 hours, I now make less than my roommate who doesn't have a degree and works between 35-38 hours a week. Should I start looking for a new job?

Have you ever been hired on a job by a managed service agency (placed as a creative within a global entity) and then not heard from your manager or team? And the managed service company is not being your advocate or telling you what is going on? How would you approach either the people at the global entity or the managed service agency that placed you to learn more?

Sometimes I feel I am just numbing myself with whatever I can (dessert/sleep/game/shows etc) and avoid thinking about the part of me that's still hurting from breakup, the uncertain future due to visa, and the feeling that there is nothing to live for. Just trying hard to pretend they are not there to free myself from the misery for a short second. But I know they won't disappear just because I refuse to face them. 😔

How is your district implementing school reentry? How are you setting up your classrooms to meeting social distancing while still allowing for free play?

Welcome to our pre-k inclusive classroom. Even with 8 students, and only face to face for 4 hours, we struggle. We struggle being heard through our masks. We struggle with social distancing. We struggle as we find ourselves constantly reminding students to keep their masks on. We struggle to keep them engaged and to teach. One thing we do not struggle with- building connections and showing out love for each child.

I burst into tears Friday as I said goodbye to the best TA ever! She is now a kindergarten teacher in another district. It took me an hour to get over it and I know the other teachers and admin thought I was crazy. Change happens. But when there are no subs available and no one has an answer for Monday….what will I do? 18 students are 10 to many for me to teach by myself. And when I ask, they say there is someone, just not sure when the sub can start. Thanks for letting me vent!

I have a para/assistant teacher that just wants to argue over everything. “You’re the teacher, why do I have to assess the children during break out rooms?” We have 8 kids, and I am only asking her to do 3! The other para is doing 3 and I and doing 2 with IEPs!!! How am I supposed to handle this in a professional manner virtually? Plus she is frustrated b/c o can’t explain everything. I keep telling her it’s all new to me too. Grace is not a word in her vocab. And I am feeling graceless.

Hey EC teachers! Anyone willing to get on a market research call with me? I promise, no pitch!! Just want to ask a few questions :)

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?

I am an elementary school teacher. My oldest son is feeling drawn to ECE. He loves children, loves to help in vacation bible school, wants to work directly with people to help them. Thoughts?
