Unfortunately none .
Rising Star
Why is that?
Too basic . The Market is maturing . You need some project experience
Depends on where you‘re located. As BCG 1 said the cloud market has matured a lot and a lot of customers are facing more specific problems (technical & business) that you simply wouldn‘t be able to answer as someone with project/program management experience and a foundational AWS certificate. I even know a specific country where the industry is asking for the next step in leveraging their maturing cloud infrastructure (e.g., cloud native softwares, AI/ML capbilities in the cloud to solve industry specific problems)
Why does it depend on where you‘re located? You said that you have experience in the public sector and I think if you‘re in a country where the public sector hasn‘t jumped on the cloud trend yet, then you‘ll have plenty of opportunity. Even then it would really help to build some more specific knowledge and gather experience in cloud too (e.g., cloud governance risk management and compliance, security, etc.).
Nonetheless, getting an AWS foundational certificate (practitioner) will be good as I think moving forward, cloud is going to be more common as infrastructure in any business. You‘ll get some idea about AWS services and concepts but don‘t expect deep knowledge level with the cert.
Sure, have fun on the clouds!
There’s a lot of mid-size non-tech companies that basically used cloud providers as private data centers but are now wanting to take advantage of actual cloud functionality. AWSs IAM and instance management is actually a great way to get your foot in the door. Also just general AWS concepts and being able to provide that knowledge is pretty rare in the corporate world.
