Hi fellow PhDs, I wanted to ask you how you manage to "blend in" with people younger than yourself when joining consulting.
I feel very old seeing that my peers are 5+ years younger than me.
Has the extra maturity paid off somehow?

Why I think my manager tries to move me out?

I’ll be asking my last job for a letter of recommendation but I’m not sure who to ask. My boss, who is lovely and would write an amazing LOR. Or my boss's boss who would put minimal effort in but it would have more weight.

When your seniors aren’t motivated and pulling their weight, it shows and demotivates you. It’s a domino effect. How do you handle these situations? Got braids. You'd think I literally got a face transplant from how shook my coworkers are. Most of the projects I've taken on, I've done so as a way to support others without taking much credit for it.
