Hi fished, I joined last year in June, for AY 2024-25, my total income is showing 650450 which is less than 7 lpa, so tax showing 0 in new tax regime. It's my first time so I tried to fill itr even my tax is 0. After filling it I got notice of defective itr with status code 37BA_194M something like this, I don't know what I need to fix it now

I did not file ITR for FY 2020-21.I had actually earned around 3,34,000 becoz I wrote master thesis for foreign students and I got online payment in my acc. So is that taxable?
If yes, then my total income will become 521121.

2ndly, whats the penalty for late filing ITR?

Thirdly, I left my previous job on 02 March, 2021, so I received the Feb 21 & March 21 on April 2021. So does it come under FY 2020-21? OrFY 2021-22?

I have made my tax payment in July 2022 but yesterday (15 Nov 2022) I receive an email that tax payment is due for assessment year 2022-23

I called to help desk and he advised to raise rectification request from Tax portal and update the challan number. I tried to raise request but need to upload some XML or json file there. I am not sure how to upload or modify that file.

Does anyone know what steps need to follow as I already made my tax payment.
