Hi folks. I’m currently a data scientist at a T2/B4 firm doing fairly technical work. I have a little over 1 yoe but have recently decided I want to switch to SWE (but still in the data domain) in tech. I think I have a lot I want to learn from tech-first companies that my current firm doesn’t prioritize.

I am still in the middle of interview prep but am likely to get a 110-120k offer from a different consulting firm in a non-hcol city. Any advice? More in comments

Would you lie to get an offer from dream company? Let’s say you did pretty good at interview, and the company (Google) is willing to give you an offer, but team lead at the end of interview asks you about GPA or experience on your resume, etc. Like in reality you got GPA 2.0, but u told them your GPA is 3.5 Would you take a risk and lie?

Hi guys currently I'm working in a project with very stringent timelines. Sometimes we need to put more than 13-14 hrs each day. There are 4 members in my team. Two are involved in database prt and me and my lead are involved in the front end and middle layer prt. Somehow my lead is not at all pleased with my work. And even if I try to talk to him for something he is completely rude. Sometimes it makes me that I m completely useless. Even the other team members are following the lead

Are tax returns delayed this year? Filed electronically in early feb and both state a federal were accepted…have yet to hear back. When I check the “where’s my refund” IRS tool it just says “your return may be delayed”
