Hi guys, I have a bachelors in management from Pace U and have 5 years in auto sales experience, any suggestions on where i should start if i wanted to switch over to tech sales, what the starting positions to looks into, and how to break the barrier? TIA!

I can’t stop feeling like the “little girl” in the room when I’m in meetings with senior clients and MDPs who are men (which is all of them). Sometimes it feels like I even purposefully disempower myself so I don’t have to fail on my own. It feels like I assume failure is my default setting, and can’t get out of that mindset. How do I get over this?

Hey fishes, mine is a question to get an advice. My wife dis her bachelors and masters degree in commerce and management. But then she couldn’t pursue any career as she lost her parents when she was about to graduate.
Later she worked for an year and had to leave the job for unhealthy work atmosphere. She’s unemployed but since 3 years. She’s 28 and wants to start working somewhere.

Would you leave your current PE firm for a more prestigious that pays $100k-150k more but you are working 20-30 hours more? Currently at a firm where I see a long term path and I work 40-50 hours. Struggling if I should go for prestige and work and larger deals at bigger firms or stay where I am now. If I don’t lateral now I won’t have a chance in the future/ much harder.

Anyone know of any places hiring in Anchorage, AK that won't completly write me off as a potentional canidate due to a background check? I've been in customer service/retail sales for 20+ years now in many different industries and I'm great at it. I’m going to be making an exit soon to a company that’s working hard to recruit me in. I’m in an AE position. I’d be forfeiting $18k in RSUs vesting, President’s club, and $200k+ in pipeline if I do move. I’m inclined to leave because this would be a step up in a role and I really like the team.

My question is: is it reasonable to ask for a $40k sign on bonus to account for what I’m leaving here? How do you go about negotiating that?
