Hi guys, one of my friend is in Canada working for one of the MNC service based company and was having a query like he wants to come to India for 2 months for his personal reason and work from here but his seniors/hr are telling either he has to go on vacation or have to work as per Indian payroll, does anyone know what can happen if he travels without informing or anyone has done this? Any suggestions?

Can someone explain how PTO works in house? I have only ever worked at a firm, starting my first in house position end of this month. I’m used to just blocking off time on my calendar if I have an appointment (like the rare occasion I have a dental appointment, well child checkup, etc) and then going. Do I really need to take PTO for these things? I’ll be working remotely 3-4 days a week for reference and I’m talking about days when I’m remote.
