Have accepted an offer for Manager position at Deloitte Consulting.

Received Offer letter with start date of 2nd Dec (need H1B transfer).

Now received Dstart with effective start date and hire date of 1st Dec, which is Sunday.

Trying to understand if the effective start date is 1st Dec, would the health insurance apply from the 1st Dec after i make an election or it will start from 1st Jan?

Have sent email to recruiter but not expecting response till next week.

Spent the pandemic working on myself, got sober, focused on working out, left the music industry and started a career where I can make money and have a steady work schedule. My joining date is coming closer, however education background checks are still processing ( international degrees) . My onboarding coordinator told me that I can still join even if education check is still in progress, provided there wont be any flags. I don’t see any issue with my degrees and have done same with my past companies.

I’m doing second round interviews with Deloitte but also interviewing with three other companies. If I get an offer from Deloitte, how long can I put off making a decision in order to finish the interview process with the other companies? Is this generally frowned upon?

Typical salary band for Consultant level for Risk & Advisory in HCOL? Got an offer for 90k + 10k signing so trying to see if this is high or just standard. 2 YOE, they mentioned promotion to SC in 6-8 months.
