I had recieved an offer from McKinsey and BCG but planning to decline as I got a better opportunity in a product based company which I prefer.

What’s the best way to decline the offer, I haven’t accepted the offer yet but was giving them reasons since last 1 week that I am on vacation and do not have access to emails.

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

Any advice for presenting somebody else’s work? I’ve been stretched thin on different projects but have to present in place of some of on vacation with little time to prepare.

Had an offer for 30% more , a promotion to manager, extra week of vacation to switch firms. I love where I am at with my clients and there is a lot of potential there. Should I stay the course?

How long is too long to try to push back a start date? Getting a formal offer early next week but trying to keep that big law bonus if possible. Firm pays out bonuses Dec 30 & I have a vacation scheduled Dec 19-23 (and was planning on working remotely the week after too). Ideally want to get EOY bonus or negotiate for a signing bonus but is it too much to push for signing bonus and those weeks off? I'm open to working remotely those two weeks but know that may not be the best when I start.

Leaving - how does the process to use up remaining time off typically work? Suppose I have 2 weeks left. Would I give a 4 week notice + take the 2 weeks off after working for 2 weeks? Trying to maximize my time off between the roles while also continuing to get paid another few weeks.

I have a Q that I worry is going to make me sound like a jerk, but want some opinions. I do strength training 2x/wk with a trainer who was assigned to me at a gym where I bought a pack of sessions. Hi everyone, I have successfully completed all the tech rounds, hiring manager and hr round at a company. In the HR round, the guy asked me to mail him my documents like current company offer letter, 3 months salary slip, offer in hand etc. and my expected CTC. He said they will get back to me in 2 working days but they haven't yet. How long should I wait to check with them? And is this some strategy HRs use to see if you are desperate for the job or somehow get your expected CTC down?
