Hi, some advice for all you studiers that got me focused and motivated to pass the exams (took me 8 times while working multiple jobs including busy tax season). If you really want your CPA license, you would find time to study, and I really wanted it. Once I had a schedule, I was use to studying. I ate a lot of unhealthy snacks & energy drinks aka brain food. I listened to lofi, classical, and nature music in the background. No one at work believed in me so I needed to prove them all wrong. 👩🏻‍💼

Congrats! That's awesome. I'm with you on the junk food. It might not be good for me, but it motivates me when I'm working on something that requires a lot of concentration.

Congrats! It's true; if you want it, you have to study for it. And if you study for it, you will pass! Maybe not the first time every time, but it will come. 👏🥳

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

Hey everyone! I’m struggling to decide whether I should pursue a full time MBA or a Part Time MBA. Truly, what scares me about a full time one is the fact that I won’t work for two years. I know it’s a big investment and I’ll be rewarded for ir later on, but the thought of it still scares me. I would love to get someone’s thoughts on this! Is the experience very different? Will I be exhausted if I do the part time? Is there something I’m not considering when it comes to the Full Time?

General corporate in NY looking to lateral into tech transactions at one of the EC/VC firms. I’ve heard that I may get a class cut if I make the move but I’m ok with that. My worry is that EC/VC firms are crazy busy work differently from general corp, I also won’t have control over my hours, and potentially worse based on how billing differs (block billing on a few clients vs having to work with 15 or more startups). Is the same true for tech trans or IP group?

Anyone take far recently? Took today and have no clue how it went tbh. Sims were pretty toils - felt like I blindly went through them
