you need a license in whatever state you want to work !! check the requirements with the state board of pharmacy
I would try to get a referral. Those can always help you get your foot int he door.
You should be able to get in at a pharmacy tech level. I know you said your degree doesn't translate, but your work experience should.
You likley do not need a license for pharmacy tech
They require registration for your state.
Some states require certification to become resistered.
Look up PTCB and sign up and sit for the exam. Once exam is passed- register with your state. And apply for a job as Cpht.
Hi, I'm a foreign graduate as well residing in florida. You can either take a tech position but you have to take the cpt exam. Another option is to have your degree evaluated and see possible options. 1.) enroll to school that offers a degree for foreign graduates or2.) get your degree verified and go with foreign pharmacy equivalency pathway, which require you to take 4 exams + internship. If you go for #2, once you get your intern license, you are allowed to work as a tech or as an intern.
