Hi - we are a small family of 3 with a middle schooler.
We have been living on rental apartments in eastern state and are now planning to buy our own house (I know not the right time).
Few facts -
1. Want to move to a warmer place
2. Higher education (and high school) for our kid is of prime importance. Which states offer the best college education?
3. Trying to stay under budget of 500k

With these facts in mind, can you please suggest what states / cities should we target?

I’ve been looking into continuing my education. I’m a certified veterinary assistant (worst mistake ever), and I’m thinking about starting my prevet courses, and becoming a CVT on the way so I have a guaranteed job. Anyone know if this is possible?

My SO and I are contemplating pursuing MBAs simultaneously; is it advisable? Any personal experiences to share?

Do you always need an MBA to get into MBB?

Why do you think ZS canceled the internship for the '23 batch? AFAIK they did not do this even during the pandemic. Are the full-time campus placement offers also in danger of being revoked?

Working as an analyst in Energy Practice assisting case teams with renewables, utilities, O&G, digital strategy. Net experience 2 years! Want to go for higher studies.

I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp. Thinking of pursuing ISB MBA for a career jump. Present CTC 12.75. Any suggestions on which course shall I go for or any other alternatives. I can go for regular MBA too. (My age is 36, if it helps).

Who has a LLM from USYD? Would like to know your experience. I am starting first semester 2023 as a full time student and working. I have heard from friends doing a LLM full time whilst working (not at USYD though) that it is achievable but very time consuming.

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

I've been offered for Engineering expert position at Novartis India. I've received offer letter 2 weeks back and my DOJ is updated to Mid December. I told the HR that my current company's last working day is on mid January and resend the offer letter with mid Jan as my DOJ. Hi all! I’m new! I started the year off planning to save for a home for myself, then rates skyrocketed. So we’re holding off. Fast forward to the final quarter of the year and we were presented with the idea of a residential assisted living facility. The problem there is we’d still need to acquire property in order to run one. The only difference is the RAL would be a business and is already registered as such. Does anyone have any experience here?

Any recommendation for best brokers / banks for jumbo mortgage rates? NY metro area. Was quoted ~5.6% last week from Guaranteed Rate, but not sure if they’re brokering or lending themselves. If the former, I’d think I could find better rate going direct to lender.

Buying new home first time in Austin, what you recommend to do 10% down payment or 20%. If I do 20% then saving around 60k in a year. Considering inflation is coming and house prices is going down day by day.

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?
