Well first of all I would be going to HR about that because that is a medical issue that he cannot get mad at you for and they absolutely should not be laughing at you and making fun of you. I am so sorry that happened OP but just to protect yourself make sure that you go to HR.
My recent direct report forced ne to ope ly disclose that I have regular appointments with a psychiatrist. I requested to leave an hour early over a month in advance for this appointment, my DON who was fired 3 weeks into my employment had approved my request, but this DOO told me she would report me as a no call no show if I didn't disclose what my appointment was for, embarrassingly enough in front of my coworkers. Total BS.
Talk with your colleague on how this is impacting you. If they continue, speak with the boss too. If nothing works or if the boss rewards this behavior, consider moving to another area or leaving.
