Honestly can we normalize the need to just have a good cry? I am so incredibly frustrated and no amount of reframing, constructive criticism, fall down 9 times get up 10 bullshit is working.

Like my wellness schedule would be an hour of exercise in the morning, An hour for lunch, exercise in the morning and a 45-min breakdown when needed.

I fully support this. A good cry is the most cathartic thing. If I want to spend a few minutes having a soft crying jag from overwhelming stress in the ladies room (when I’m back in the office), I don’t think there’s any shame in that.

Let it all out! Eventually you will push yourself out of it, things don’t last forever, assholes at work will always be there and lots of talented people are unappreciated. It has taken me a long time to find joy in small things and stop defining myself exclusively as a producer. Re-framing does work, but you really have to believe in yourself and think of your life as a fan of many things not just a narrow slice. I wish you lots of peace.

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

Just restarted stimulants and already I'm dealing with twitches again. Does anyone else get these? No type of pain or anything just every once and a while my body will twitch strongly. Afterward I feel normal, but it's a bit annoying, and I can't control it at all which is a little disconcerting. Don't remember this from when I took stimulants as a kid, but it's been a while.

Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
