How about the employees giving some year end goals to the companies 😂😂Like how they ask us to declare the goals and performance. So that the company knows how hard it is to provide goals and achieve them with all the pressures we have Cognizant Tata Consultancy EY Deloitte Accenture IBM Wipro

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

I understand this post is lighthearted one, but why do we behave and talk like compan is a difference entity? Yes for tax purposes but isn't an organization just a bunch of people working together and performing their roles?
So let's assume you have a chance to set goals for your org, who should achieve those? Shouldn't it be again you and me working in the org?
And why do we think organization do not have goals to achieve. An organziation's management sets certain goals for itself called vision and mission , objectives . To achieve those , each in the organization are again set goals. So any goals that are set to you are always top down in approach. Board of Directors or investors give goals to CEO. Who sets certain goals to let's say each IBU. Each IBU may set goals to different delivery centers.. to different programs.. to different projects to different team members.

CG1.. we have a problem that we assume things doesn't happen just because we do not see it. A manager also gets a bad rating when his team members do not do well. Just like your manager is rating some peopel good and some people bad, your managers manager is rating few managers good and few managers bad and his manager and so on. Each will have their own goals and metrics and KPi which they are judged upon. I would suggest we all do our job rather than assuming our managers or their managers are idiots and we are much better and intelligent than them.
Probably you will become manager one day and you will do the same as well. If your managers
you feel isn't professional enough, you can raise with their boss or HR . Also we can learn from thier mistakes and do a better job once we go to that position. Management style is changing over the years and I agree many do not learn and move to new management styles. Yes if anyone in team is not doing good, it's managers responsibility. But at the same time they have to rate as that's what organizatiosn ask them to do and it impacts them also. Just that you donno what is the impact on them so you think there is no impact..
They too give to their shareholders on yearly basis. Thats a different topic that most companies fail to meet them 😂😂😂
