Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

It’s CTH so no guarantee. Sounds like the other position is more desirable for you. Try to burn the least bridges and go with the new position if you get it
yea it would be a lot more money and permanent CTH is already sketchy to me especially as a 1099
Pro
I was about to get all heated about ethics until I saw that the position is CTH. If you get the offer at the other place, try to get your start date at the other place pushed to after the contract period if you can swing it. Otherwise take the permanent position and give them 2 weeks notice at the CTH job.
I’m with EYP1. Accepting an offer is a commitment. You should not interview when you have already accepted an offer.
That said, contract-to-hire is not a real offer, it’s a long interview. Until they make you permanent keep looking.
Not a big deal. If the other offer comes in just explain that something you applied for a while ago popped in and it is much better suited to you
It’s totally understandable. In this market, it’s possible it won’t become a fulltime position. You are only as good as your options.

Not bad at all! Honestly that’s the name of the game. Best of luck! 🤞🏼
