I have also recently cleared all interview rounds in TCS & HR Shared 'Salary Breakup'. Still, my status in the iBegin portal is not changing from 'Evaluation in Progress' to 'Evaluated' & so on, even after uploading all required documents. They had initiated the process 2 times, 1st on 16th Nov and 2nd on 24th. Please let me know, how long it will take to release the final offer letter. Thanks

@E1: Strat& did commercial. Booz did public sector.
The first time Booz went public, it was in the 70s and the partners bought it back bc of the short term nature of the stock market. The 2009 or so IPO was a scheme by Ralph Schrader and the big wig Defense/Intel hot shot partners they hired to enrich themselves and Carlyle (who took a large stake a year or two before and then started the offering process). Cue massive negative culture change and scandal after scandal since then (oh and benefit cuts). There weren't $ troubles, it was just greed.
Get out while you can
... as they always do whenever we're at risk of not making earnings due to some external crisis.
@M1: They can always make the high deductible higher, introduce a vesting schedule for 401k, cut training dollars, cut vacation days, etc. They can increase the staff-to-SA ratio to cut back on indirect costs (also limiting upward mobility). Plenty of levers to pull.
I learned the other day that BAH went public in 1970 and bought back all the shares a few years later because of issues being a public company (shareholder conflicts).
Seems weird that they did it again in 2010, since it sounds like they are experiencing a lot of the same issues now.
D1: I wasn't with the firm then but I get the sense there were financial troubles brewing coming down from the height of the wars in the Middle East. The Carlyle Group bailed the firm out and made back their money + profit taking the firm public.
Lol excellent observation there ^
But what's left to cut?
401k is about all they have left
Question: what was the difference between Booz Allen and the 'strategy&' sold to pwc?
I should have sold my shares when they were at $39 :(
^If anyone else has more info, please contribute.
OP that list of benefits that could be cut makes me a little scared...
