The case interview is the hardest part of it. I’d dedicate a month to prep on the cases and go through 14-20 with another person over the course of that time
They’re the same as any other interview. I was a lateral hire, 3x rounds of 2x interviews, standard strategy cases.
Cases are all about practice and knowing the right strategies. If you got a week to prep, I’d highly recommend hackingthecaseinterview.com
Same process. Potentially a bit easier in terms of case judgement, especially if you have deep expertise in an area of need, they are hiring you for your expertise but also want to ensure you're structured in your thinking, rigours in your analysis and always sythensis highlighting the "so what". So that 1m x1m you called 100billion wouldn't end you lol. So If you do those things above well then a few practise with folks that know how to judge a case at the mbb/tier 2 level would suffice, else, a lot more practise. Timing is dependent on individual abilities, materials and support resources and amount of time available for practise. Goodluck!
