Turney! The Buy Side was a solid read and sort of covers what you're looking for here (or at least can lend you insight into how some buy siders think)

like

Okay, so I should just read the buy side? I'll check it out

Worth a read regardless of your objective. But yes, good book to learn how they think and what they expect out of sell-side. P.S. Don't do drugs kids

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. How do I recover from this?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Merry Christmas all. Looking for good books for 2018. Possibly related towards sales. Heard about questions that sell etc. any recommendations?? Trying to learn all I can as a new RIA

I want convert every lead I can. Does anyone have tips, books, cle’s or studied this topic?

My organization is currently going through a lot of growth and, with that, team planning. As I’m putting together hiring plans, I’m curious how other content and creative teams are set up. Would love to hear about your setup!

Some background: we are a little more than 300 employees currently. I have three in-house content managers on my team who are also responsible for different content types. We also have three in-house designers who are each responsible for different assets. Thank you!

Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring. Attached is a picture of them.

What should I do now?

**I'm not in Chicago

The thing is i was used to have inputs when needed from my managers for my models. Now I'm in a senior position with not much support for something I haven't done since uni
