People on medication—is your medicine managed through a psychiatrist or your primary care dr? The psychiatrist is charging me $225 a session ($116 with insurance) vs I can see my primary dr for free (ie covered by insurance). Can she manage it ?

I know everyone will have different answers for this but how did you know it was time to get sober? I think it might be time for me to find a new job and pursue sobriety, but I don't feel like I'm a rock bottom which is the only time I've ever seen people really commit to it (my father). Apathy isn't the right word but I just kind of feel numb about everything and I think being sober would maybe help.

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.

About month ago I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD) and had to go through cardiac catheterization to get a stent.

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Does anyone get so anxious about work that they can’t eat? The thought of food just makes you want to puke? How to manage? Skipping meals/not eating for a day is unhealthy and will cause weight gain

I was wondering if anyone in this group is or knows about groups to support attorneys who are/have been suspended and how to handle it with life. Frankly the state bar isn't a good resource and it's starting to impact my career in not practicing the law. I've been working for a non attorney job in my company for years and was recently told my suspension means I'd never get it. Boy that was a blow that triggered depression and anxiety, still there as it's been less than a year week.
