Focus on your exams. I am going through the same thing. If someone starts getting on your back, talk to your coach or career advisor.

It's definitely a challenge juggling your workload while also getting enough study time in, but that's really just a part of life and par for the industry. There will always be times when you're needing to prioritize and organize your workload. Might as well get used to it now.

like

It's a fine balance between doing both but you need to prioritize your workload to do both. You will be able to do both and be successful at it. Good luck.

like

This was definitely the hardest for me as work is so demanding. I had to stop overcoming and be able to manage priorities in order to fully focus on studying after work hours

like

It’s hard but you have to prioritize what’s important to you and work on creating boundaries. I log off at 5:30 eat something then go study for the cpa the rest of the night

like

I know it’s hard, but keep pushing, it will work out

Agreed. Its very difficult. Just do the best you can :)

What are the designation levels in the major financial institutions? It's confusing because some consider VP and SVP more senior than a Director, and some have SVP one level lower than a Director like in Citi. If you know the levels of whichever org you work for, please comment on this post. For example in Standard Chartered:
it's Associate, Associate Director, Director, Executive Director, Managing Director (3 levels).

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

Anyone been able to work from Dubai for a UK/US firm and benefit from no taxes? I know if you are a US citizen you pay taxes where you are globally, but if you are British, then you only pay income tax on UK income - so if you live more than half the year abroad you are classed as non-domicile resident, but wanted to hear if anyone’s done this or heard about it?

I have no update on the offer.
