Pass it back 😅😆 It really depends on the situation. Could you share more context?
Or changing something on a form that you are responsible for completing anyway
I would tell them it's not my job to do their job. Seriously, I'd talk to them and find out what they think they're doing, or why they're so confused. I wouldn't do their work, that I know.
How do you say that's not my job in a professional way
Honestly I have a couple coworkers who are more than happy to pass their work off to me. At first when I was new and didn't know any better I took the work. But I quickly caught on to what they were doing and I started passing that work right back to them. Because no, you are not about to pawn your work off on me so you can kick your feet up and relax.
You need to value yourself and your time, so decline the work gracefully but calmy. Tell them you're swamped with your own work. If they keep pushing, loop in your superiors. Explain that the coworker consistently dumping work on you is impacting your ability to meet your own responsibilities. A good leader should put a stop to it.
