This sounds like a lack of trust, which can be how microaggressions show up, but the trust part jumps out more to me. Provide thorough input to show you’ve covered your bases and have thought through different scenarios that your manager would want you to think through. Focus on resolving the issue objectively vs viewing it as an attack on you as a person. If it’s unbearable, then you’ll have to find a new job unless you have documented abuse HR would believe.
Yikes. The common phrase thing leaves a real awful taste. I’m sorry. Maybe this will resolve over time once the manager knows you better? Doesn’t help you get through it though. Ugh.
I always suggest try talking to the person first. While they may know exactly what they're doing. You should let them know that you know what they're doing. You can address that you feel like their is a lack of trust between the two of you as C1 brought up.
Sounds like someone needs a trip to the HR. First, let them know how you really think of how they're behaving. Keep documentations of how they're treating you just to be sure.
