Politely but firmly say, “I appreciate your concern, but I’m confident in my responsibilities and have my manager's approval." This sets a boundary without being confrontational, reminding them you’re capable and authorized in your role.

I totally agree with this.
Could say: I feel uncomfortable (annoyed, frustrated…) when you question me about having permission (which I do). I will no longer respond to you when you ask questions that imply I don’t.

Thank you for the feedback, it was helpful. Now I know what to say when they ask again.
Just talk to them like they're an overly curious child. "Of course I have permission..." or "Of course I know what I'm doing..." Over time they may get the message that you're not amused with their busybody attitude.
Wouldn’t recommend. Feels passive aggressive.
