How do you get into your alignment of choice at consultant promotion? Also, how do you decide what that is?

What do I do if my manager is ultra super micromanaging, she just called me out on an extra space in an entry in an analytical graph I created😱 not a big deal to me but she said it was unacceptable. Like idk what to do, I need the job and I’m still missing a long time to make the pivot to another company😩

Are there any good PM certification that’s worthwhile? Not something that’s on Udemy for 2 hours of coursework.
Most “certifications” I’ve seen seem a bit superficial… but my current PM job feels like a glorified project manager role so I was hoping to use my extra time to study/earn a certificate to show my skill. If possible.

Hey folks. Question for the majority of us still under the big 3 holding co’s...are raises a thing anymore? I’ve been at my (smaller) agency almost 5yrs and got one raise (a nice $12k bump) during that time—is that sufficient? Is one increase in that span normal? I also recognize being somewhere 5 years is rare these days. The honeymoon period at any agency seems to be 2.5—3yrs before bolting. Not complaining, just asking. Have y’all been getting raises/bumps in any kind of regular cycle? Thx.

Would you rather stay in a boring job (good pay, good wlb, boring work) for a year and get your green card or switch to a better company and let the greencard go? The boring job is also does not have a lot of work in the pipeline.

What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. Is it naive to hope that there could be a job out there that I actually LIKE doing as opposed to just forcing myself to do it for the paycheck? I work for a great company with (mostly) great people but still find myself wishing I could be doing anything else throughout the workday.
