I just left Amazon and would like to start applying for other faang companies. Any suggestions on where to start?

Currently working as a Business Analyst with PwC. Got a call from Hexaware. Is it worth it shifting from PwC to Hexaware? Any suggestions??
Anyone here using T-Mobile Money as a savings account? 4% apr for the 1st 3k and 1% for all monies after. That is more than my current high yield savings.
Heard during an MSJ argument this morning:
THE COURT: “alright, I’m granting Defendant’s Motion. Counsel, you’ll prepare the order, and allow Plaintiff (who is pro se) one week to review as to form and content.” DEFENSE COUNSEL: “understood, thank you Your Honor.” THE COURT: “anything else on this matter?” PLAINTIFF: “yeah! I’m not thanking anybody — this sucks!”
What is the PwC sign up bonus looks like?
What’s the average comp increase when you are changing, wondering if a 20% increase is fair considering market conditions ?
I tracked change updated a client communication letter from a template and sent to senior manager. When SM sent to partner all changes are under his name. No difference to my version. How low is that?
😂😂😂 Stay outside y’all
I’m a Clinic Manager in IL. Wondering what everyone’s front desk is getting paid? We’ve had so many front desk coordinators leaving and it seems to be because of pay. It’s very frustrating because we are losing the good one! Wondering if anyone else is running into this and how you are combating it?
Is 55k for a performance specialist a good salary? When is it appropriate to ask for a raise after you start a new job?
Anyone who’s moved from consulting to VC, what are some of the ways you’ve made your application stand out? How much of securing the role was down to networking?
Should I resign without any offer an hand. I'm just not able to survive in the current company, no matter how much hard I'm trying to
My advice: Concentrate on yourself above anything else, follow orders but also know how those orders affect you, serve your country but never forget you are serving yourself first. The objective is not to die honorably but to survive dutifully. What else would you add?
Upward mobility / opportunities question. I have a niece - 15yo, super bright. Her parents are smart, kind, immigrated to US, but haven’t been able to progress much up the socioeconomic ladder. So their neighborhood isn’t great and getting worse every year (Baltimore), therefore she’s in an unfortunate school district, and I worry she’s not going to tap into her full potential / see what career and life options exist. I’m trying to think through how I can help. We get on well and she looks up to

Wanting to start therapy for social anxiety/depression but no idea where to start. Those that see a therapist, how often do you usually go? Ball park price range? Has anyone tried online therapists?
I’m an A3. Was tier 2 as first year and tier 1 as second year. I know there’s really no big difference in pay between the tiers but I still can’t stop worrying that I won’t be tier 1 this year 😔
Anybody here has anxiety reaching out or pinging people? I’d have a full blown anxiety even pinging people who have told me to not be afraid to reach out to them.
Friends, how are we this week? This is a pretty quiet group, so I want to check in and see how you are feeling!
We need to talk about the amount people struggling with alcoholism at all levels in this profession.
Anyone else feel like they don't fit in? I joined a couple months ago and there is no one I feel comfortable talking to. It seems like everyone talks shit about everyone else and acts so fake
I'm a recovering alcoholic. Turns out my alcoholism was covering up a mood disorder and PTSD for about 12 years... In this industry people think I'm crazy/dramatic when I ask for what I need... Cont
Anyone read “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck”? Is it worth reading or is it another stale self help book?
How old is too old to live in an apartment? 30, single, no pets, medium high cost of living. Feel like I’m wasting money but also hesitant to be a homeowner living alone in a home.
How are you dealing with being severely understaffed? I have no associates or seniors and just have been stuck playing all rolls. I feel broken and defeated and just have nothing left to give.
How do you know when it’s time to get help? I’ve never seen a mental health professional but I just don’t feel like myself lately, a lot of which I think is attributed to quarantine.
Are we our own worst critics? Despite getting glowing reviews from above, I can’t help but feel like I don’t do enough or quick enough or efficiently enough. This causes anxiety and stress for me.
Has anyone taken a leave of absence due to mental health? If yes, what was your experience like and how did your team/office take it?
Been seeing a therapist for 4 months and finally scheduled an appt with a psychiatrist to get on antidepressants. Hope that I find a good combo that works quickly and I can actually start living life
I’ve been taking Ritalin for about a year now and honestly I’m not sure if I need it. The reason I started taking it was to help me focus, but even when I take it I find myself not focusing....cont
I have so much energy and I know it’s annoying my team and I just sit there and cringe at how much of a spaz I am. Advice? odd I know...
Depression is hitting me hard today. My head feels heavy and foggy. All I want to do is sleep, thinking of asking for a sick day since we’re not too busy..what should I do?

I definitely haven’t perfected this but some things that help me are leaving my phone in another room (if I’m working from home) and setting times to be productive and then taking a break - look up the pomodoro technique! 25 mins work 5 min break… also I listen to a podcast because it’s like you’re kinda multitasking and have something semi distracting but depending on the type of work you do you can get stuff done while listening, and then break when the podcast is over. Also keeping a notepad next to you to write down random thoughts like ah I need to run that errand after work so you don’t forget but it helps you remember for later instead of letting us distract you
Yea I definitely have to use the 15 sec rewind often haha - and I do 1 sticky note for work stuff I think of and 1 sticky for random personal things I think of!
Can’t help ya as I’m wondering about this as well, but has anyone noticed that neurodivergence seems to get left out of firms’ DE&I efforts? I’d love to see more support of neurodivergent people in professional settings.
Depending on your comfort level, you may want to consider seeking help from a mental health professional. I was struggling a few years ago and after seeing a psychiatrist for the first time, it was very clear to us both that I was suffering from moderate to severe ADHD. Concerta and some lifestyle changes have made an immensely positive change in my life since, both at work and in my personal life.
Just wanted to point out depression and anxiety can be co-morbid conditions due to the struggles with self-managing adhd (or other mental illness). Try going to see a specialist so the questions and answers are tailored and interpreted with this consideration in mind. A non-specialist might overlook the close connection
Tracking. When I’m at home I usually work with EDM music and aromatherapy diffuser on. I also have a standup desk and from time to time use that with a balance board underneath my feet. All of these other things simultaneously stimulating other senses keeps my brain busy enough to let me somewhat focus on work and helps my brain stay focused. Still a struggle. Open to hear what works for others.
I highly suggest going to talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist. There’s no shame in it if that’s what’s holding you back. If you get diagnosed they have multiple different medications to help. Some stimulants, some are not. Best decision I’ve ever made. Has helped me tremendously
I just started taking ADHD meds after the same problem. Still working to get dosage correct but it has helped me some already. No shame in meds!
Same. Been struggling immensely...
I just ordered lions mane to help with focus… it’s not that expensive so could be a decent natural option
I used to drink MudWtr and it had lions mane and other mushrooms in there, but that was kind of expensive compared to other alternatives
I find the Pomodoro technique to work. 25 on, 5 off, every 4th break is 15 minutes.
I know when I was in high school I would listen to rock music while doing my homework; my mom would always tell me to turn it off. I told her it helped me study. Now as an adult, I listen to Audibles. It now helps me stay on task. As a bookkeeper, you would think it would distract but I have a hard time working without my headset on. My daughter swears I have ADHD but I have never been diagnosed.
