How does one avoid paying the corporate AMEX $90 fee for MR rewards program? Not sure, but I've heard owning the personal platinum card waives the few...true or false? Any loopholes?

Yes if you pay the 450 for the platinum card you save the 90 :)

like

I tried to pay the $90 and it wasn't working so I called and complained and they waved the fee & enrolled me

like

You don't. Owning the corp platinum waives the fee in that you keep the points but you pay the higher platinum fee...Which is lower than personal but you only accumulate pts at 1x for all categories. Keep corp green, pay for points, get personal platinum, best of all worlds.

like

Hmm, I've got the personal Plat and haven't been getting the waiver. Time to make a call!

like

One simply does not.

like

TRUE! I've a Delta SkyMiles platinum card and my AmEx corp card fee is waived every year. Pay $200 for the personal card tho 😐

Personal platinum fee is increasing to $550 this year

I've had the personal platinum and the $450 is not an issue as the associated perks usually covers that fee. I'd be making a call.

ATK 1, true...but there is a $200 Uber credit being added as card perk.

What're best uses of the MR points?

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. Have I been ghosted or is there still hope? Does anyone at Visa have insights? Looks like there are a ton of jobs posted so maybe they are just backed up?

Fish who have been feds,

I have been stuck deciding between two offers (both in IC, but one is more program analysis -similar to consulting work but on the fed side, and actual analysis).

The program analysis offer is at a higher GS level and a more well known agency, but is not what I’m interested in.

Does anyone have any advice on how to make a decision? Go with what I want to do, or go with the more well known agency and higher gs?

Hi Fishes,

I got an offer from PwC. The joining date that I had agreed from my side was 2 June. But I don't know that even in probation the NP is 90 days (it was mentioned in the release doc as 1 month but I didn't take that screenshot as proof). I told the whole issue to my recruiter and she sent a confirmation mail stating that she will revise my joining date by 90 days without issue. Is there any chance they can revoke the offer? I have put down my papers already.
