Just moved my old employers 401k to a traditional IRA. Valued at 30.5k and I got it out before the market dip. Should I convert it to a Roth before the end of the year or does anyone have suggestions on etfs to put this money in. Help with an offer at pre-IPO tech unicorn. Current: 112k base, 15k bonus, 3YOE Offer: 120k base, 16k bonus, no sign-on, 70k RSUs vesting 25% after 1 year and 7% each quarter after that. I’d like to ask for 135k plus 10k sign-on since I’m forfeiting 5k bonus and another 8-9k in unvested 401k. Is that reasonable? I’d be ok with 130k and 5k sign-on

I have a pending I-485 and my case was recently “ready to be scheduled for an interview” about 2 weeks ago. I haven’t traveled to my home country for 3 years and was looking forward to going this December … I have a valid H1b that expires in 2023 and would need to get it stamped. There are appts available in my home country. However I don’t have AP (did not apply due to valid H1b). Is there any risk to my GC application if I travel abroad and get a H1b stamp to re-enter the US?
Wife and kid are going to be out of town for the next 2 weeks. Instead of wasting time, I’d like to do something productive. What would you do if you have say 3+ hours a day. Maybe self help, wealth creation type books, work out daily, take care of some things around the house.
