Cogno AI Hey fishes, One of my friends, got offer in cognizant. She have an epfo account with inactive UAN and she changed her name in aadhar recently and this epfo account has the past name. So she raised request for name change 2 months ago and still it's processing. I have a current CTC of 6.6 and Mastercard is offering 8.9 (including variable ) . I also have an offer from infosys of 10 ( including variable). Which one should I pick considering work life balance and appraisal.My entire doubt is that will they bring me on market rate after appraisals as currently they are not offering very good hike.

Effective Available Hours = Standard Hours (40 Hours in Germany) – Absence Hours (Illness, Vacation,…)

Professional services orgs are primarily tracked in terms of their utilisation rates. Putting vacation on parity with unstaffed time would create a lot of unhealthy practices around time off.
Having said that, I am sure there are firms that penalise employee utilisation for taking vacation.
