How is the WLB @ MBBs (generalist BA at Mck specifically) compared to Big 4 strategy/PE due diligence?

I‘ve read for those that want to be in consulting, going B4 to MBB is beneficial career-wise. I’m not absolutely sure I want to be in consulting & don’t know if going through the interview process for MBB is worth the stress/time (with the very limited energy/time I do have I would honestly rather focus on getting into tech if anything)

Working for a big 4 strategy firm in London and would like to move permanently (not secondment) to the US on an L1 visa next year after getting to senior associate. Does anyone have experience with this? Its unlikely my home partners would support the move outright, so is the best approach to apply directly to the desired US office after networking and get an offer + global mobility in place before giving notice?

I just started at a different B4 firm and want to refer a friend to the firm as well. Would it hurt him if I made the referral or should I ask someone more tenured? I actually don’t care about the bonus so all ears if someone else can refer haha

My friend have cleared Tata Elxsi interview 5 months back and received her offer letter. Still now she haven’t recvd a joining letter. Couple of other friends are also facing similar issue.
Does anyone have any update on this?
Tried mailing to the HR and to their help desk. No response.
Its really disappointing. Even if they are not able to onboard candidates now, the least they can do is aknowledge and respond to the queries.
Hope someone can give more insight onto this issue.

I appeared for L1 round of Cognizant. After interview, interviewer has given the feedback to brush up my concepts as if m rejected.
Same day got a all from HR that ,i need to appear for L2 round.However, details of that are not shared.Now,HR is not picking any call .
Shall I consider this opportunity as gone ?

I am currently at the end stage of interviews and waiting on a decision from a company if an offer is extended. I reached out to the recruiter on Tuesday asking when I should expect a notification, and was informed Friday. I followed up once more today (Friday), and they stated for me to reach out to them on Monday about the position as they need more time. It sounds like I should cut my losses, but any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This week I started a listen through my entire record collection from front to back. I’ll be doing this on workdays when I am in my home office. Did it a few years ago. Collection has grown a lot since then. But I’m not doing comedy and spoken word this time. Too hard to work to those. I expect it to take 4-6 weeks at least. Depending on how many calls I have.

Florida ppl: I live in a condo & the AC in my unit is leaking refrigerant. Repairmen came by as the AC kept freezing & they said it's leaking inside and the only way to fix it is to replace it. My landlord is refusing to replace the unit for at least 6 months. He's hoping that the Freon they put it will magically fix it. Lease says that he has to keep things in working order.
