I received an offer from one of the MBBs (Analyst position - banking benchmarks team). The offer briefly mentions that I'd receive performance bonus, but doesnt mention any range (% bracket). Nor does the compensation structure has any component of Performance Bonus (which is usually a part of TC) Should I ask the recruiter on this? What to do? Thanks in advance!
Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.
Just been invited to a career in consulting night by Bain about 4 months after I took the tests for a referred application. Is this just fired out to everyone or is this indicative of something more?
I just cleared my AWS Cloud Practitioner exam and am curious whether I should pursue Solutions Architect Associate and/or Developer Associate certificate next. My plan is to get about 7 certificates in the areas that interest me, even though they are not needed for my role. Have you gotten both? Any recommendation to which to pursue first?
CD who decided to try strategy for 1.5 yrs. Was recruited for the role I am in, but really unhappy. The role is not what it seemed and moved from non-health to health for it. Advice on how to go back?
Can you please help me choose between these 2 offers? 1. Indium- 16 base+2JB(no variable) Have to work as data engineer contractor in uber india but with what the HM explained, it sounds like support role. 2. Swiggy- 16.5 fixed (no variable) Business Analyst
I often see posts about people getting 350K exit or 450K or more in FAANG. Are those strategy folks from Big 4 or are there cyber folks too getting these exits ? I am making close to 200k as M3 in cyber . Not able to anything that would pay more than this in non-consulting ? What roles should I target ?
Are more massive layoffs coming? What industries (in-house/ecomm) are safest right now or during a recession?
Been on the bench for 2 weeks. Internal strategy role for a year was offered to me. Should I take it?
Should I take a 15% pay cut and leave Accenture for industry? Or wait it out to find a better paying opportunity? Worried about chargeability and layoffs, hate the process of getting staffed. Wondering if it's worth it though for such a big drop.
I’m torn about going up for promotion to director with an infant at home. While I’m professionally ready, I wonder if it’s a bad decision on the home-front. Should I stay in my mgr role or go for it?
If you are separated from your firm and you are kept on payroll for an additional month to facilitate payout of severance when does the 60 day grace period count start? Is it on the last day on payrl?
I got laid off from my accounting/consulting firm in January and have since been taking a class related to my industry but from a tech angle. I prefer to leave consulting but could stay off the work and work life balance were better. I signed up for this class thinking hiring woods be soft until midyear give or take just wish the class finished. I look on this app and it seems everyone is hiring. Am I missing the boat by not being in a full throttle job search now?
If you were laid off from your last job do you think it will affected your negotiation in your next job?
Hi Karen, we learned that Laundry Service fired client Poppa John's bec. John Shattner used the N-word in a meeting w. the agency. This resulted in mass layoffs. How have you dealt w/ ethical dilemmas
Starting a new role soon (PM role - Biz Ops) Folks that have made the transition, what type of prep would you do in the weeks leading up?
Does anyone else feel like their burn-out cycle is shorter? It used to take me about 2 years of grind before I hit a burn-out phase where I needed to do some serious recuperating. It feels like I'm at 3 months now, or even less. I've already spoken to my wife about building quarterly mini-vacations into my schedule just to keep my energy up. And by burn-out, I mean you're at the point that every single ball you are juggling can drop and you get fired and almost see that as a blessing.
Survived the layoffs on friday-but still shook up from seeing a bunch of my friends get walked out all around me. When a layoff happens should I be updating my resume/looking to get off the ship?
Does MBB have a strong presence in the DC area?
We had new neighbors move in across the street a few months ago. A couple with a child of about 7 years old who clearly has a cognitive disability of some sort (I suspect autism). I’m becoming concerned about him. He seems to spend a good amount of time alone outdoors. He often flags down passers by to chat. I thought perhaps his parents kept an eye on him through the window, but today he was hanging on a neighbor’s front stoop for a good half hour. I went over to talk to him and see if (con’t)
Everyone: We asked for diversity and visible minorities in this video. This edit shows 90% whites dudes... The producer: The guy in the first shot is latino and there’s also an Irishman and an Australian bro at the end 😑
Could use some structural layout help for a deliverable: Creating a one-page report that reflects a product offering, its benefits, and its significance (the ‘so what’) - currently only having multiple bullet points for each as the content, but think it’s not suitable aesthetically for a presentation. Any suggestions for how I should best format it for exec management? This isn’t a PPT.
Any recommendations if I’m interested in a lateral move from a boutique digital consulting firm to strategy consulting at a firm like Strategy& or Accenture Strategy? Do I have any shot at MBB or OW?
Had meeting with client. Revisions were placed for the copy. One of my writers didnt understand that we had to deliver it within minutes and kinda went MIA for that hour (coffee break?). I didnt bother, so I revised their copy and sent it. Yay or nay?

What is the typical base salary range for SAP Manager with 15+ years exp (logistics supply chain MM SD) and SM at EY and PWC. At Deloitte I have seen M from 135 to 180 and SM at 160 to 230.
Just got an offer at ACN as a Strategy Manager and HR made it clear that parental leave was 2 weeks fully paid for men. Theoretically up until 12 weeks is covered by NY State ($900 weekly). What would you do? Have you seen men take a few months off for parental leave in consulting even if unpaid?
Hi folks, given difficulty in getting visa stamping done in India at the moment, any thoughts on getting it stamped in Canada? Any risks I should be aware of? (I have always gotten my stamping done in India in the past) Thank you.
Those who have chase sapphire preferred - is it worth it? Also, Amex gold or Chase sapphire preferred. Thanks!
In your years of teaching in the public school setting, has anyone ever had students placed in their classroom that have never been to school at all? Help!!
Gender Issue: someone in my family (Father 🙄) keeps iterating on the issue, that woman should never be allowed in to lead positions. Can't deal with it but have to start yelling at him. Anyone h
@Accenture sharks: I am currently in the process of interviewing for a Consultant role in Finance Transformation in NYC. What should I negotiate for in terms of salary? Any other advice on the interview process? Honestly, from how much I make right now, it feels wrong to negotiate up to an increase of more than double.
Where does ESADE and IE business school rank with respect to other top European mba schools such as LBS, INSEAD, IESE, HEC, Oxford, Cambridge?
Homework... it’s my worst nightmare in the classroom. I have to give it but have flexibility in creating my own policy. Please share what you give, how you collect, and/or grade!! THANKS!
Have you ever run into a situation where you asked for more money (either a raise or when negotiating an offer) and you got it and regretted it? What are the strings attached to more $?
