Been in the space for 17yrs, both small and large agencies and, although agency life is volatile, I love it. Early in my career I worked client side and it isn’t for me - slower pace, not as creative, and for me - not as great learning opportunities.
Agencies are risky in terms of layoffs when clients pull work however client side also has layoffs and no one is safe.
Right, job security doesn’t exist anywhere anymore. I agree with your observations about the pros/cons of client vs. agency side. The faster pace on the agency side provides more learning opportunities and more unique work, but at the cost of long hours and potential layoffs
I have not worked in this field, but would be curious to what others in the mpls area have to say. I don’t hear often about this space in our market
It’s small and everyone knows everyone 😆 Which is part of the reason I believe this bowl is quiet.
10 years in. I think I should have gone into TV/film production but I went this route because I thought it was more stable.
