McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company

Have to be completely honest with you, in these situations you have to remember the world doesn’t revolve around you. They have tons of other offers they are working on at the same time. I’m not being a jerk, I had to remind myself a few times when I was in the same boat.
Fair enough. I have an internal opportunity as well and I shared this with recruiter too. Since it’s internal, it’s more informal, no interviews needed but more like if I’m interested or not. Puts me in a pickle as I don’t want to lose this internal opportunity in case the approvals fall through (I read this happens more often than not at Big4).
It means it not really an offer- the verbal wouldn’t or shouldn’t have been made unless there was approval - in this market they should be turning it around in 24 hours or less if there is a real role - or their recruiting organization or processes are a mess
Took me sometime as well at EYP. They are hiring like crazy so it's been really slow.
Accenture has really slowed on hiring, EY could be doing the same
Could be. After my interviews (early April) was told even though I did well, approval was an issue and went into a holding pattern. Then they came back saying they are ready and would like to offer. Asked my salary prefs, assigned office etc.
Im a new hire at ey. The written offers are taking awhile across the board. They changed hr systems so its a mess rn
They changed systems a year ago - the legacy mgmt of recruiting ops is the issue just hapless in the most competitive market and the sr hr ops people who should know better let l them skate while it hurts talent acquisition
