Ok so once per section but if it takes you more than that, don’t let it get you down. I’m in tax and I very nearly failed reg
13 times. 1 BEC, 3 REG (passed twice), 5 Audit, 4 FAR. Took 2 years and was a nightmare but got it done!
5 and counting lol only passed one so far

4, though each I time I took it I didn't expect to pass lol

Update: took #13, FAR, my last one. After 13, and getting all types of scores from low 60s to low 70s and 85s -90s on all my passes this one definitely felt right.
Moral of the story boys and girls: if you put your mind to something and see things through good things will happen. I wasn’t someone who had to sit down and legitimately study throughout HS/college to get good grades. The first 8 attempts going 0/8 taught me more about myself then the next 3/4 (hopefully 4/5). In failure I learned how much grit I have, how to think outside the box trying new ways to study that worked for me, and most importantly that your failures don’t define you. What defines you is how you bounce back.
Of course it would have been nice to be able to say I went 4/4 or even 4/6 but at the end of the day I wear my attempts proud. I wouldn’t want to have it any other way. For those of you still plugging away - never give up on your dream.
Don’t measure yourself using someone else’s ruler.

Passed all 4 on the first try in 3 months with 88-95 score range. And I literally am the worst accountant lol. I still gets debits and credits mixed up when speaking. Makes no sense to me either except I know how to study and compartmentalize info well. Also passed my Master or Accountancy summa cum laude. I really wish I somehow internalized all this info and could actually use it.
At least seeing some people failing but getting the cpa after failing many times give me some hope. I passed FAR on my first try, then tried AUD and passed on my 3rd time (I got 74 the first 2 times). I tried to pass both REG and BEC before my FAR expired but didn’t make it (I got 74 on both BEC and REG) so I ended up losing FAR. Then I passed both REG and BEC and I needed to just pass FAR to be done but I couldn’t make it and ended up losing AUD. I’m about to lose both REG and BEC again because I cannot pass FAR. Sometimes I wonder why I’m still doing this to myself. Not sure if I will ever get this cpa but I will still try... 74 is hunting me forever and ever. The worst score ever!
I’ve taken FAR twice BEC once and AUD once. I’m not sure what I’ve gotten on BEC or AUD yet as I’m waiting for my results still but I technically haven’t passed a single exam yet. The struggle
I’m pretty sure most ppl here are lying. I passed it and I needed every minute of the 16 months window. Felt suicidal after each section. Everyone has a different experience but I remember REG was my kryptonite and almost cost me 2 sections before I finally passed it with a 76
Guarantee half these “passed all in one try” didn’t take all 4 while working multiple busy seasons year
6. Took FAR and REG twice, which sucked but at least none of my sections ever expired.
7: passed BEC first try and took 2 tries for the others
7. Passed BEC and AUD on the first try. Took REG three times. Took FAR twice. Keep at it and it will pay off.
Tip - when I first failed REG, I just restudied my notes and took practice tests. That didn’t work... I failed again. I realized after that I needed to go back through all the lectures as if I never had and take all new notes. There were things that I misunderstood the first go-around that I wasn’t going to understand better unless I relearned it.
If you fail, start over like you never started before. You’ll pick up new concepts you didn’t understand fully before.
Once, all 4 first try BEFORE graduating. Stayed in college an extra semester rather than graduating in December and took Becker along with a few classes and any review study times offered be professors. Sells award 😊. I honestly have no idea how people work and study at the same time
7. I passed the first 3 out of box and then failed REG 3 times (68,74,74) then I finally nailed it with a 78. Keep your head up and once you pass your first one, don’t skip any test windows. You can do it!
I’ve taken like 13 and I lost my REG score so I’m retaking that. I got really stuck on audit and the. FAR has been like 71, 73, 69 so hopefully I passed it this time. It’s been over two years and it sucks more than anything but it’s doable 🤷♀️
6.... I took two got 74 and 73 (audit and FAR) it was disappointing paying $3k for Becker so I went back to school with the intention of never returning to accounting. When I came back I made a conscious decision to take 2 months off work (do or die) and sat for all 4 exams in one window (the education requirements were changing) and passed all of them.
6 and counting.
6. Failed FAR and REG once each.
