Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Aka shit
401k and pension are 2 different things...
Pension didn't get eliminated ..... the calculation just changed
25% of your first 6% initially and then 50% of your first 6% after 4 years
Lol. You're right. The calculation was changed. From something resembling an actual pension to something resembling a pile of dog shit.
^i think the complaint is "hey you used to give me more, now you're giving me less. That is way demotivating." Just like with the Deloitte cell phone reimbursement thing, it's the decrease in benefits that irks people. If you never had it to begin with you're probably not going to feel that way.
@d1 that's your cash balance. They will use that to buy a life annuity at your retirement age. Probably worth about $20 a month. I'm at 4 years and up to $150 a month. EY just changed to a cash balance pension plan for anyone starting after 2016.
I thought it's 50% after you become manager?
Funny that you guys who work for EY don't even know how much you're getting. Are you guys aware that your pension was eliminated this year?
No kidding.
Shit, pension was eliminated??
I started in January and I believe I was the last start group that is religionless for the pension
EY is the only firm with a pension and get people still find a way to complain about it. Some people just can't help but complain about everything
Also my firm has a bitching pension plan for partners. It's just the making partner thing that's a bitch.
EY does not have a pension people!!
EY is not the only one with pension. Deloitte has a pension. Checked my balance earlier in the year. $2500 after 2 years. Not vested though but better than nothing.
Exactly! All the big 4 have some form of retirement plan beyond a 401k. EY calls theirs a pension because it used to be. I.E. defined benefit. Now they have changed it to defined contribution, and the contribution isn't much!
